dat aeroplane

Day 1

Left home at 6:30am to be at airport by 7am. Met Jason at the airport. Checked in all of our luggage and waited for the plane that left at 8:40am. From Louisville we flew an hour to Chicago. We had the best flight attendant ever. EVER. He did everything very theatrically and hilariously.

We had a four hour layover in Chicago during which we ordered Dunkin' Donuts and played cards. Jason studied Japanese.

The flight was very long and I did not sleep much. Jason sat near the window and leaning on him was somewhat uncomfortable. There were many movies and television shows to watch, though. Each seat had it's own television screen that you could watch things or play games. Jason and I watched Source Code, Arthur, River's Edge(maybe), and The Big Bang Theory (television show). Jason also watched Thor. Hopefully there are different movies on the way back!

Our flight landed at the Tokyo Narita airport. We had to go through customs and pick up luggage to re-check-in.

Then we flew to Itami airport, picked up our luggage and went home to our grandparent's
house. We had curry for dinner, but we were so full from airplane food and tired from the whole trip that we did not eat a lot. Only one plate of food.

I emailed my mom before bed, then fell asleep very quickly!

oh, i've done it again.

There I go, disappearing again.

What has happened? Well, I had the end of the semester. I took my finals last week and my final marks are 1 A, 2 A-, 1 B. Not bad, in my opinion. My GPA is around 3.2 again... I hope?

Now, I am getting ready to leave for my vacation to Japan. I hope to blog very much about it. Chiharu and Jason are going as well. Many pictures will be taken!

where have I been?

In short, things have been busy. Finished my late assignment, watered my plants a lot, did some homework, took a test, and ate lots of food along the way. Jason and I also adopted a new cat. Sort of. She's not officially ours, but she's staying on his porch for now.
Also went to Jason's Eagle Scout Ceremony. So proud of him! He got this honor a loooonnnng time ago. Pretty much before we started dating. But he did not have his award ceremony until yesterday. He was absolutely precious and I can't wait until Sage starts boy scouts and begins achieving these things.
Side note, I didn't go home on Tuesday and didn't get home until late Wednesday night. I went to water my plants this morning and my little forget-me-nots look all shriveled. I watered them in hopes that they would come back to life, but I'm not too hopeful. :c

little peppers?

I think a couple of my peppers have sprouted. Hopefully, these are peppers and not weeds that mysteriously made their way into my box.

On a side note: horrifying incident at school yesterday. Did not realize a due date was given on a "time intensive" lab assignment. Got to class and the prof mentioned something about it. Majority of the class freaked out. Luckily, prof was kind enough to postpone due date to give us time to complete the lab. What a slacker I am.

Also, tie dye day was cancelled. Marcella and I will fix it, though. The tablets took too long to prepare and we did not feel as though we allotted enough time to enjoy this project. No worries. Another day has been planned.

box garden, built!

The box garden is finally complete and the seeds have been planted and watered. I have planted Ferry~Morse Soy Beans (1.99, 6grams) and regular Beans ($1.59, 28grams).

Sweet Peppers still have not sprouted, but they have some time still. I hope they grow. Lots of rain lately, if my plants have drowned I will be sad. But on a happier note, the Forget-Me-Nots have sprouted!

crafts!

Wednesday, Marcella and I were inspired by Craft Gawker to start doing more creative activity. We have formed a mini crafting group of friends and our first project tie dye items. Personally, I'm not all too fond of tie dye, but Marcella adores it and I adore her. Maybe tie dye will grow on me.

Thursday, we bought the "Twisted Tie Dye Machine" kit for $16.99+tax. It does 12 shirts and includes a nifty looking tube that twists up the shirt before you add the dye. Does it work? I will find out.

Today, I tortured Jason into going to the Hobby Lobby with me and purchased an xsmall heart shaped craft punch for $3.99 and 3 rolls of ribbon, on sale for $1 each (normally $1.99).

Father's Day gifts were also acquired. :)

let's make lunch!

Made lunch for my boyfriend, my sister, and myself. Lots of rice. Fried rice and white rice. I was really short on ingredients, so no meat or corn in the fried rice. Not many veggies in the house to put as sides either. But it's all good. I will be in Japan in a month and half. Then I will have all the good foods and make better obento for our trips out.
